Jamaica’s world renowned Blue Mountain Coffee will be on display at the upcoming SCA Boston 2019 Coffee Exhibition on April 11 – 14 in the United States.

The global event will attract over 25,000 coffee shareholders and Jamaica through the Jamaica Coffee Exporters Association, JCEA will be participating for the first time in over 25 years.

JAMPRO will be spearheading the execution of Jamaica’s participation as agreed under the terms of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signed between The Jamaica Coffee Exporters Association (JCEA), Jamaica Promotions Corporation (JAMPRO) and the Jamaica Agricultural Commodities Regulatory Authority (JACRA). The export promotion agency is also committed to assisting in the development of a five-year marketing and promotional strategy for Jamaica Blue Mountain and other “high-quality” Jamaica coffee brand.

Chairman of the JCEA, Norman Grant is excited at the prospect of Jamaican Blue Mountain Coffee being in front of this premium international gathering of coffee shareholders.

The SCA Boston event is expected to be attended by over 25,000 coffee enthusiasts. Jamaica through the JCEA, will be participating for the first time in over 25 years.

The overall cost of attending the coffee trade expo for the delegation is approximately US $100,000.00 inclusive of US $35,000.00 for the booth, the cost of which is being shared among the Jamaican participants, JAMPRO and JACRA representatives, while JCEA will cover the rest of the expenses.

Mr Grant said the coffee farmers and the JCEA appreciate the support from the Government through its various agencies such as JAMPRO, JACRA and the Jamaica Tourist Board, as well as our embassies overseas to expand and build the Jamaica Blue Mountain Coffee brand and the other high quality Jamaican coffee.
